Dr. Michael Cox is one of the finest musicians you will find anywhere. He is also one of the finest Christian men you will ever care to meet. I'm glad to him up and running on the internet. Good job, Scott. If you like GOOD music that's got a lot of meat to it, check out anything written by this man. "The Gardener and I" is one of my personal favorites.

How about we try "the flea" one more time to see if we can ever get the triplets right! God bless you Dr. Cox. You made quite an impact on my life even though I wasn't a music major.

Dr. Cox is an extremely fine composer and conductor as well as pianist. He can do absolutely incredible things with a group of male singers. One should try to hear a group under his direction some time.

I really enjoyed seeing you and your family at OBU for the Angell celebration. I'd love to have a "Michael Cox and His Music" weekend with clubbers from the 70's and 80's. I guess you'll have to get a lot older for such a fun occasion! Anyway, greetings. This is such a cool home page. We do need to get Mr. Brown up to speed.Love to all.:)Sharon Miller

Like your page, however, these wonderful Macs put me to sleep before we got to hear the sounds. What do we do? How do we make the sound work? Mother assured me it was not the operator, what do you think?

I'm interested to hear your comments on the current "litugical revival". My thesis is based on the role of the sacred in contemporary classical music and I am trying to get in touch with as many composers as possible who write using liturgical and sacred texts. If you have a chance I would love to hear about the process behind your music and your ideas about the role of the sacred in today's music.

Seeing your list of compositions and hearing the samples I can only say, "So Much Good Music, So little time." Your name is new to me but I will definately keep you in mind when trying to select music for our choir at Central Christian here in Augusta. I am also a composer and will be have my first work published this summer in the July issue of "The Volunteer Choir" from Lorenz. I am also working on a Mass for Chorus and Orchestra. Do you ever look for new works to premier? I would like to send you a copy if you are interested in seeing it.Thank you.

Your music is such a gift! So was your teaching. Your classes were always my favorite . . . and many of the treasures I learned then still bring you to mind as I use them time and time again. From the list of choral works, I hope to find some new material for my group, the Seminary Chorus, here at nobts.

Hi,What a wonderful homepage. I am searching for information on a composer for a term paper in my music class at Friends University in Wichita. I didn't want to write about Bach, Handel or Beethoven, although they are quite good. I sing at our church. I find great peace in the ministry of Christian music. I would appreciate any info that you can give me on your bio, works and pathway that brought you to where you are today. Thanks and God Bless you in your work. DSaiz

After all this time, it's way past due that I finally visit your home page and leave a greeting! All of us who were your classmates consider it an honor that we can claim you as "one of our own." It was a rich time at OBU, with so much great talent coming through, it seemed. You were at the top. Thankfully talent continues to mature even as hair declines and gums recede, so I look forward to hearing of your continued contributions as a Christian musician!

Hey, how's it going. The three of us are current members of the Bison Glee Club and we just wanted to say Hi! We are studying Glee Club history for a class and so we visited your home page. David and I (Craig), sang "Touching Soulders" on the newest Glee Club recording and enjoyed it very much. Well, it was great talking to you. Hope to see you on campus if you ever make it back.

I am a member of the BGSU Men's Chorus and I can't thank you enough for the wonderful piece you wrote for us! I Sought the Lord is so beautiful, words can't describe how it moves you as the singer or as the audience. I believe that music is the most powerful of all the arts to move people. And in this song, it's almost as if it's your soul speaking throughout. I couldn't be more proud to perform this piece, it is simply breathtaking. Thank you! Eryk

Dear Mick, I don't know how I missed your site before. It's very classy. The times I was able to share in your musical expression by providing text remain some of the most satisfying creative moments of my life. The opportunity to hear those pieces performed have been some of the most exhilirating and moving. I was recently excited to hear the St Olaf performance of O Holy Child. I'm sorry I missed the PBS broadcast at Christmas. Thank you for continuing to gift us with your music and yourself. Please tell Rhonda I said "Hi". Sincerely, Paulann
